Semaglutide is generally well-tolerated, but like any medication, it can have side effects.

1. Gastrointestinal Issues

The most frequently reported side effects can include: Nausea, Vomiting, Diarrhea, Constipation, Abdominal pain or discomfort.

2. Fatigue

Feeling unusually tired or fatigued, especially when starting the medication or increasing the dose.

3. Headache

Headaches are a possible side effect and can vary in intensity.

4. Dizziness

Some patients might experience dizziness or light-headedness.

5. Injection Site Reactions

Since semaglutide is administered via injection, there can be localized reactions such as redness, swelling, or itching at the injection site.

6. Risk of Pancreatitis

Though rare, there is a potential risk of developing pancreatitis (inflammation of the pancreas).
